Tag with a "Drink me" bottle and Alice - inspired by Tim Holtz June tag

I'm ready with my June tag what I made to enter the June challenge of Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 .

Here is my version:

and here is Tim's one:

My association was this: coffee-drink, drink-bottle, bottle? maybe wine? no! "Drink me" bottle!, Drink me bottle-Alice, Alice is a dreamer, soooo the sentiment will be: "dream your dreams". And of course, Alice is tiny because she shrank.

And because I don't like to make things for the drawer I decided to give it to my sister as an unbirthday card because in the past few years we couldn't meet on her birthday. (We live 1400 km away from each other.)

So this is the story briefly how this card was born.

For this tag I used a chipboard. I cut out a tag and I used one of Tim's stencils to colour the tag.

Alice was printed from the internet and I coloured it with Distress Markers, a paint brush and a tiny bit of water.

I cut out the bottle with Tim's Apothecary Bottles Bigz Die from a white cardstock. I coloured it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and here I used some water too. I coloured the edges with Frayed Burlap. In the end I put a layer of Ranger Glossy Accents on the top.

It was me who printed the "Drink me" and the "dream your dreams" sayings. After cutting out I contoured the edges with Tea Dye and Scattered Straw.

I cut out the "Very Merry Unbirthday" sentiment from a green cardstock with Tim's Alphanumeric Thinlits Die.

I distress the edges of the card with scissors and I coloured the edges with Frayed Burlap.

What I used:

micro glaze (to protect the ink colours)

ribbon

chipboard, cardstock

And very merry unbirthday to you all!

With this tag I would like to also join the Wednesday Challenge of The Simon Says Stamp Blog (Use your favourite technique and product).
