Sizzix - Easter egg paper garland

Well, I've already begun to put up the Easter decorations and I started with the paper sign.

For the garland I used the biggest Sizzix egg die to cut out six eggs from chipboard. After I cut out six light blue and six light green eggs from cardstocks.

The coloured papers were run through the machine between embossing folders.

After I inked the embossed papers.

Then I glued the coloured eggs to the chipboard eggs.

I cut out the letters of EASTER with Brenda Walton sizzlits die.

I glued the brown letters to one side of the eggs and after I put a little brown ink to the edges of the eggs.

With Crop-A-Dile Big Bite I punched holes to the top of the eggs.

I put twine to the holes and I tied bows.

What I used:

Crop-A-Dile Big Bite

twine

glue

Ranger Distress Ink (Bundled Sage)

Tsukineko Memento (Summer Sky, Rich Cocoa)

chipboard

cardstock

Christmas garland or Noel sign

I have made this garland for the fireplace. Since the  word "Christmas" would have been too long I have chosen the NOEL instead.

I cut out 4 ornament shapes with Sizzix cutting machine from chipboard but as this shape is so simple you can cut it out with scissors.

I cut out 8 ornament shapes from a book I wanted to throw out. I glued the book pages to the chipboard ornaments.

I painted cherry red with acrylic paint on both sides. But unfortunately my photos don't show the actual colour but believe me my ornaments are really cherry red.

I coloured the top with gold Marabou Glitter Liner.

I also cut out the 4 letters of NOEL with Sizzix. I painted them with Tsukineko Memento ink then I put a layer of  light green Marabu Glitter Liner.

When the Glitter Liner dried I put a layer of Ranger Glossy Accents .

Do you see how shiny and puffy my letter "N" is? It's the result of using the Glossy Accents.

I made holes on the top of the ornaments with Crop-A-Dile.

What I used:

Marabu Glitter Liner (gold, light green)

Tsukineko Memento Ink Pad

Ranger Glossy Accents

red acrylic paint

P.S.: Since I needed the place at the fireplace for the Christmas stockings so I removed the NOEL sign and I attached each ornament on a branch.

Sizzix - Fall leaves paper garland

Luckily the summer holiday was long but that's why it was hard to be back to normal :-)

So, after a long pause I would like to show you first this paper sign.

I cut out the leaves with Sizzix Framelits Die - Birch Leaves - by Rachael Bright. I painted the edges of the leaves with Tsukineko Memento ink pads. For this I usually take a simple kitchen sponge and with scissors I cut off a tiny piece. I tapped this piece into the ink pads and after I just rubbed it into the paper.

I punched holes into the leaves with Crop-A-Dile Big Bite to be able to pull out a string through the holes.
