Wedding card with The Park die set

After 20 years of being together and having two children, my sister and her partner decided to get married. So it was really just formality. There was no ceremony, but we family members were very happy nonetheless. And of course, I made a special, personalised card for them.

For the background, I used one of my favourite background stamps, the Stampers Anonymous, Vines and Roses (CMS298). I heat embossed with Ranger Vintage Pearl embossing powder.

The lady and the gentleman were cut out from thick brown paper twice but I also added a layer of brown paint to the top. They are from Sizzix Thinlits die set, The Park by Tim Holtz (665204).

The balloon is part of the Celebrate Colorize die set (666285). Also from Sizzix, Tim Holtz.

The letters on the balloon are from the Sizzix Thinlits die, Alphanumeric Label (664177). The plus sign is the smallest star of the previously mentioned Celebrate die set.

The date is written according to Hungarian custom, we start with the year. And I used the Alphanumeric Label die again.

But where are the hearts from? Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure what I ended up choosing. The larger heart, if I'm not mistaken, is the smallest piece of the Stacked Tiles, Hearts die set (665858). But the smallest?

The text is from MFT Stamps, Essentials Sentiments stamp set. I used super fine white embossing powder on brown paper.

Wedding card with loving couple

Hello everyone, last time when I was here I posted a wedding card that I made for my friend. But in parallel with that one, I started to make another one, an alternative version. The background and the gold are the same for both cards, but here I put the couple from the The Park die set on the card.

The background was made exactly the same way as I explained in the blog post of the previous card

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, The Park (665204)

Sizzix Impresslits embossing folder, Star Trim (663297)

Sizzix Bigz die, Heartfelt (660233)

Stampers Anonymous, Vines&Roses (CMS298)

My Favorite Things, Connected Die-Namics

Ranger embossing powder, Vintage Pearl

DecoArt, Glorious Gold

etc.

Wedding card with a layered cake

Hello everyone, I would like to show you the wedding card that I made for one of my friends who will be attending a wedding in July. I immediately started to make the card when she asked and I started to make two versions. She chose this one, so I show you this first.

The background was made with one of the Vines&Roses stamps by Tim Holtz. I heat embossed the stamped image with Vintage Pearl embossing powder. I wanted to make this card elegant, so the the gold seemed a good option but there are many shades of gold! In the end, I found the DecoArt Metallics, Glorious Gold to be the best for the pearl roses.

By the way, there is an earlier version of this card, you can see that here.

Well, the cake is a discontinued Sizzix die, Layered Cake by Brenda Walton, but I rounded the upper edges of the cake layers.

The numbers are from the Captions Numbers die set by My Favorite Things.

For the letters I used a Sizzix die, Alphanumeric 3/4" by Tim Holtz.

I inked the edges of the white papers with Kraft colour ink by My Favorite Things.

The patterned papers are First Edition papers, I just loved the First Edition earlier designs.

I hope you like it! Thank you for stopping by!

Card with globe and Eiffel-tower

One of my friends has seen the text, " together is the best place to be" on my robot card. And I was asked to make a card with the same text for her husband for their wedding anniversary. So after a lot of consultations with my friend I made this card.

For the edge of the second layer and for the globe, I used Liquid Platinum embossing powder from Ranger.

The Eiffel tower was heat embossed with Ranger Vintage Photo (Rust Effect) embossing powder. I repeated the process, so in the end, there are two layers of embossing powder on the Eiffel tower.

Behind the globe, I put a kraft paper which was inked first with Hickory Smoke, then with Black Soot.

I glued the globe on this inked kraft paper then I cut off the excess.

The background paper of the first layer and the little vintage New York picture were in the Graphic 45 Cityscape 8x8" paper pad.

The hearts were cut out from watercolour paper with the Sizzix Bigz Heartfelt die and I added diluted acrylic paints to the surface then spritzed with more water. When it was dry I smeared Antique Linen ink onto the surface.

I inked the edges of the hearts, the text and the New York picture with Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap.

What else? Oh yes, I smeared a little Titan Buff DecoArt Media paint to the edges of the Graphic 45 paper.

The first layer and the second layer were mounted on a blue card base, then I attached all the other elements, one by one.

I hope you like it!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!

Wedding card with cake by Brenda Walton

After two weeks holiday, I'm home again! First, we went to Hungary by car to be with our family in Hungary. After 3 days we left our dog, Rozi at my parents and we flew to London for 8 days. Despite the horrible weather - every day we had rain and/or shower - we had a lot of fun there. Then we flew back to take back Rozi and to vote on Sunday in the parliamentary election which was a big disappointment for us - I mean the result.

But life goes on! And for today I have brought here a card to share with you.

My hubby's colleague asked me to make a wedding card one of her friends' wedding. I made two versions and from them, they liked and chose this one:

I used First Edition The Promise papers. The cake was cut out with Sizzix Bigz Die, Layered Cake by Brenda Walton (658357). With X-Cut Corner Punch, I rounded the top of the cakes.

I inked the edges of every cut-out with Ranger Distress Pumice Stone ink.

The text is from the My Favorite Things, Essential Sentiments stamp set and it was heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I hope you like it! From now on, I will post more often!

Card for wedding anniversary with Tim Holtz crazy birds

There is a lovely English folk song: Lavender blue, dilly, dilly, Lavender green, When I am king, dilly, dilly, You shall be queen..."

I like this song and when I wanted to make something for our wedding anniversary I just knew that I would use this text somehow.

So I have made this card:

For making this card I used Karen Burniston's Accordion Rectangle Die.

I cut out the shape from a 270 gramme blue cardstock.

But as I wanted to use this die as a photo frame with two parts I cut two pieces.

I used this part of the die set to cut out two shapes from white cardstock as well.

But I needed only the frame so I cut out the unwanted parts and I coloured them with Distress Inks.

I glued them on the blue basic. I made the same thing with the backside of the card.

I stamped the crazy birds on white cardstock then I coloured them with Distress Markers.

I stamped with Tim Holtz Shabby French stamp on the frame, then I gessoed a little bit.

I cut out a smaller rectangle from white cardstock and I glued  it on the blue basic. After I glued the birds too.

Because in the song there are lavenders I decided to put lavenders onto my card. For the lavenders I used a Memory Box Die, the Long Stem Lavender Die.

What I used:

Rangers Distress Inks (Evergreen Bough, Cracked Pistachio, Faded Jeans, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers) - for the frame

Ranger Distress Markers (Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Evergreen Bough, Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar) - for the birds

Ranger Distress Ink (Scattered Straw) - for the crown

Ranger Distress Marker (Chipped Sapphire, Seedles Preserves) - I mixed them for the lavenders

Ranger Distress Ink (Victorian Velvet) - for the heart

Marabu Glitter Liner (gold)

gesso

ColorBox Ink, White Chalk Ink

StazOn Ink (Timber Brown)

Earlier in this blog I have already shared with you my mixed media canvas what I have made for our anniversary too.
