Wildflowers in sunset

Hello crafty friends, I'm here with the second inspirational project for the June challenge of the Country View Challenges. This time the lovely Rachel chose the theme which is Summer Fields

As you can see I created a summer field filled with wildflowers and a sunset scene.

To begin, I cut a rectangle panel and I started to blend Ranger Distress colours onto the surface. I used Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Broken China, Faded Jeans and Black Soot. I blended more black ink around the edges but to tell the truth I slightly touched the whole surface with the black ink to darken the vivid colours a little bit.

Then I spritzed my panel with water.

Next, I started to stamp the flowers with Black Soot Archival ink from the Stampers Anonymous Wildflowers (CMS253) and Winter Watercolor (CMS354) stamp sets.

I placed my panel to a black rectangle panel, then to a grey card. And that's it! My card was ready.

And a last photo:

Thank you card with wildflowers

Hello crafty friends, I'm here with the first project for the June challenge of the Country View Challenges. The theme is Summer fields and the lovely Rachel will be your hostess this month.

As you can see, my summer field is filled with wildflowers.

And here I have to tell you that for this card I got the inspiration from one of my early cards. I really loved that card so I decided to repeat that design in other colours.

For making this one, I took a 300gsm watercolour paper and painted with Ranger Distress paints (Faded Jeans, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage).

Then I inked the edges with Ranger Distress Archival ink (Vintage Photo). Then I started to stamp the wildflowers from the Stampers Anonymous Wildflowers stamp set and heat embossed with Ranger Weathered White embossing powder.

The next step was to cut out some flowers from the Sizzix Wildflowers Thinlits die set from green textured paper and kraft paper. I arranged them on the card and glued them one by one. Then I splattered with diluted white paint.

The text is part of the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk stamp set. I stamped with Ranger Distress Gathered Twigs ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Easter card with Cottontail

Hello crafty friends, let me show you my version with Tim Holtz Cottontail Sizzix Bigz die. This is my first project with this beautiful bunny but not the last, soon I will come with more creations in scheduled posts.

The first rectangle layer was coloured with PaperArtsy Cheesecake Fresco paint. Then I embossed with Tim Holtz 3D Botanical embossing folder.

Then I smudged Picket Fence Distress crayon to the embossed parts.

The second rectangle was coloured with DecoArt Americana Dove Grey paint. I inked the edges of both layers with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.

The bunny was cut out from chipboard. First, I put a layer of gesso, then two coats of white paint. The edges were inked with Gathered Twigs.

To the bottom, I used a strip from a premade background that I didn't use so far. For this background, I used Tim Holtz 3D Lumber embossing folder and I think I coloured the same way as Tim Holtz when he was making the Village Manor in a youtube video. From 22.50 you can find that part.

For the flowers, I used the Sizzix Wildflowers 1 and the Funky Florals 1 and cut them out from coloured cardstocks. Then I inked the edges with Gathered Twigs and smeared some Picket Fence crayon to tone them back.

The text is part of the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk set and was stamped with Ranger Coffe Archival ink.

I hope you like it!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!

Canvas with wildflowers by Tim Holtz

It's the 1st of July and it's time for a new challenge at the Country View Challenges! The theme is: In the summer garden.

As you can see my summer garden is filled with wildflowers.

This is a 13x18cm canvas.

I used Tim Holtz layering stencil (THS035) and I stencilled wildflowers in the middle of the canvas with modelling paste.

When it was dry, I covered the wildflowers with Schmincke masking fluid. I let it dry and after I painted the canvas with diluted DecoArt Americana paints (Whispering Turquoise, Spa Blue, Mistletoe, Pistachio Mint). Actually, I tapped the diluted paints with a sponge onto the surface.

When the paint was dry I rubbed off the paint from the wildflowers with a piece of paper towel.

Since the colours were too vivid I toned them back with watered DecoArt Americana Buff Beige paint.

Then I cut out the flowers from thick kraft paper and watercolour paper using Sizzix Thinlits dies (Wildflowers 661190, 661808 sets) by Tim Holtz.

Then I spattered the canvas with the Buff Beige and White Wash paints.

I inked the edges of the white flowers with Vintage Photo Distress ink and then I glued them on the canvas.

I put a layer of Schmincke Fluid Medium for sealing the canvas then I put a sticker from Tim Holtz Small Talk, Occasion sticker book on the right top.

So if you have a summer garden project, please join our challenge where you have the chance to win a £20 voucher.

Cards with wildflowers by Tim Holtz

Hello everybody and greetings from the Loire Valley where at last I could find a wifi signal in front of our house in an ex-barn which is now a man cave with comfy armchairs, mood-lights, old newspapers, record-players and decorations from flea markets...

Unfortunately the wifi doesn't work in our house although it was good before our arrival :-)

Anyway I can use the internet in the barn, so  I can post to the blog and I can show you my two cards I had made before in Luxembourg.

The white flowers were embossed, the others were cut out from Tim Holtz Core'dinations papers.

And here are some photos from the Loire Valley, some places we have visited on the first 2 days.

Canvas with watering can and wildflowers

Since I am the hostess of the May challenge of the Country View Challenges blog it's my turn to show first the second inspirational project.

Our theme is: Flower Power so we would like to see many flowers or maybe just one flower but a dominating one in your projects.

As for my project... it's a mixed media canvas with Tim's wildflowers and watering can. For this I had an inspiration, a card from Nicole Wright. It's so beautiful, isn't it?

What I used:

Stampers Anonymous, Life Quotes by Tim Holtz (CMS227)

Layering Stencil, Flourish by Tim Holtz (THS032)

DecoArt paints

And here are some photos about the process:

And with this picture I would like to show you how I arranged the flowers behind the watering can. After gluing the flowers I attached the can with foam adhesive.

I hope you like it! And if you create something with flowers, please don't hesitate to join our challenge where you can win a £20 voucher!

With my canvas I would like to join the Monday Challenge of the Simon Says Stamp blog: The Great Outdoors.
