Wedding card with The Park die set

After 20 years of being together and having two children, my sister and her partner decided to get married. So it was really just formality. There was no ceremony, but we family members were very happy nonetheless. And of course, I made a special, personalised card for them.

For the background, I used one of my favourite background stamps, the Stampers Anonymous, Vines and Roses (CMS298). I heat embossed with Ranger Vintage Pearl embossing powder.

The lady and the gentleman were cut out from thick brown paper twice but I also added a layer of brown paint to the top. They are from Sizzix Thinlits die set, The Park by Tim Holtz (665204).

The balloon is part of the Celebrate Colorize die set (666285). Also from Sizzix, Tim Holtz.

The letters on the balloon are from the Sizzix Thinlits die, Alphanumeric Label (664177). The plus sign is the smallest star of the previously mentioned Celebrate die set.

The date is written according to Hungarian custom, we start with the year. And I used the Alphanumeric Label die again.

But where are the hearts from? Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure what I ended up choosing. The larger heart, if I'm not mistaken, is the smallest piece of the Stacked Tiles, Hearts die set (665858). But the smallest?

The text is from MFT Stamps, Essentials Sentiments stamp set. I used super fine white embossing powder on brown paper.

Vintage Hungarian Christmas cards #148

Here is another postcard with a beautiful woman.

This card was posted in 1901 so it has an undivided back.

Vintage Hungarian Christmas cards #147

This gorgeous lady is sitting on a very old Christmas card, because this card was posted in 1904.

This card has an undivided back this is why the sender wrote the text on the front side. The undivided back means there is no place for text just for address. Until about 1905 the postcards were printed with undivided back.

Birthday card with Mary Poppins

This is a birthday card for the most important female in my life, my daughter who turned 18 today. I am incredibly happy that almost 19 years ago, on a holiday in Rhodes, we were chosen by this wonderful soul. Well, without further ado, here is the card that I made her.

I chose the lady from The Park die set, because she loves Marry Poppins. For the lady I wanted to make a festive background so I chose the Retro Flakes stamp set, because they snowflakes look like firework sparks. And the Mary Poppins text is just so perfect for this occasion.

And here is the tutorial.

I took a blue cardstock and started to stamp the snowflakes with embossing ink. I used silver and gold embossing powders for the heat embossing.

When my panel was filled with silver and gold snowflakes, then I spattered the paper with silver and gold acrylic paints. When it was dry, I inked the edges of the panel with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink.

I made a golden frame for the text and for the blue panel too. For this, I used the same gold embossing powder that I used for the gold flakes.

I also put transparent rhinestones to the middle of the silver sparks.

I cut out the numbers and the lady twice from black cardstock. Then I glued the together. I also put a layer of matt black paint to the surface of the die-cuts.

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, The Park (665204)

Stampers Anonymous, Retro Flakes (CMS417)

MFT Die-Namics, Pumped-Up Numbers

Ranger embossing powder (Silver, Princess Gold)

rhinestones

acrylic paints (black, silver, gold)

etc.

Celebration card with paper doll ladies

Hello everyone, lately you could see my two birthday cards that I made for two October birthdays. And here is a name-day card that I made for my sister who celebrates her name-day in October. I live in Luxembourg but my family is in Hungary so I soon have to prepare a package and send it off to make sure it arrives by October.

Before I started this card, I asked my sister for a colour and she said dark green. And then Emma's Halloween card popped into my head. That was my inspiration but I wanted to make something different.

I took a watercolour paper and started to blend ink through Sparkle stencil. Then I heat embossed with Ranger gold embossing powder.

Then I started to blend green inks to the surface, I started with lighter colours because I wasn't sure how dark I will like. Then I turned out that I preferred it when it was very dark.

The girls' dresses were coloured with Distress glazes (Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina).

The champagne glass was cut out from Neenah Solar white paper and coloured them first with Copic Sketch markers, then I heat embossed the glass with clear embossing powder, the champagne with a mixture of clear and enchanted gold powders.

The text was part of an MFT stamp set (Uncorked) and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

What I used:

Stampers Anonymous, Sparkle layering stencil (THS132)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Happy Hour (664435)

Idea-Ology, paper dolls

Ranger embossing powders (Gold, Enchanted Gold, Clear)

Ranger Distress inks (Black Soot, Bundled Sage, Lucky Clover, Pine Needles, Rustic Wilderness)

Ranger Distress embossing glaze (Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina)

etc.

Valentine's Day card with The Park die by Tim Holtz

Hello everyone, I'm here with my first project for our February challenge over at the Country View Challenges, Hearts and Flowers. Be aware that in your project both (flowers and hearts) have to be featured.

To make my card, I took a piece of watercolour paper (300gsm) and stamped the floral background on it. For this, I used embossing ink. Then I sprinkled it with embossing powder (Weathered White) and melted it on with a heat tool.

Then I blended Distress inks onto the surface. First I added Tumbled Glass (first layer), then Faded Jeans. With this order, the Faded Jeans became lighter than normally.

Then I added Ground Espresso to the edges.

The lady and the gentleman were cut three times from black paper. Usually two layers are enough for me, but this was a thinner paper. I glued grey paper behind the figures to cover the open parts.

The hearts were cut out from the same red paper I used as one of the layers for the card. For this, I used the Falling Heart die.

The text was heat embossed with super fine white embossing powder.

The heart I put in the gentleman's hand is one of the small hearts from the Bigz Heartfelt die set.

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, The Park by Tim Holtz (665204)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Falling Hearts by Tim Holtz (664415)

Sizzix Bigz die, Heartfelt by Tim Holtz (660233)

Stampers Anonymous, Vines&Roses by Tim Holtz (CMS298)

Stampers Anonymous, Tiny Text by Tim Holtz (CMS394)

Ranger Distress inks (Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Ground Espresso)

Ranger embossing powders (Weathered White, Super Fine White)

Ranger Distress embossing ink

etc.

So if you have a project with hearts and flowers, please don't hesitate to join our February challenge where a randomly selected winner can have a £20 voucher in the Country View Crafts online shop.

Ladies at a birthday party

Hello crafty friends, I'm here with the second inspirational post for the May challenge of the Country View Challenges, called Tea Party but you can do projects with Birthday Party or any Anniversary Party.

Here is mine with a birthday party this time.

And here is my tutorial.

I made a folded card from a light cream cardstock, then I adhered a dark brown panel on it.  Now here comes the creative part.

I took a paper from the Menagerie 8x8" Paper Stash and blended Spun Sugar ink onto the surface. Then inked the edges with Gathered Twigs ink.

Then I took a 300gsm watercolour paper and stamped, then heat embossed with the Lattice background stamp from the Lattice&Flourish stamp set (CMS257). For this, I used the Princess Gold embossing powder.

Then I blended the surface with diluted Antique Linen ink. This is why I needed a watercolour paper. Here I inked the edges with Gathered Twigs as well.

The ladies were in one of the Paper Dolls set and I coloured with Distress Crayons. For this technique, you can find a perfect tutorial at Paula Cheney, I followed her rules too.

The hat was stamped with Hickory Smoke Archival ink and coloured with Distress markers (Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade) and you can find the actual stamp in the Mini Crazy Birds&Things stamp set. In the end, I sealed them with Distress Resist Spray. For this, I spritzed a little amount of Resist Medium onto a plastic sheet, then I tapped them onto the surface with a piece of sponge.

The text was in the Metallic Stickers Quotations set and I placed a piece of gold paper from the Metallic Kraft Paper Stash.

The flowers were made earlier. But I'm sure, I used the Tiny Tattered Florals for the white part and the Small Tattered Florals for the blue part. I also used the latter die set for the leaves. I added a little gold paint to the edges for making them more elegant. I put a tiny pearl in the middle of my flower.

I used the same gold paint to colour the thin Star Trim paper.

If you have a project related to our May theme, please don't hesitate to join us where you can win a £20 voucher.

Art Impressions - Tina Set - Lady flying with a balloon

Although I fell in love with this stamp set because of the text (Of course I love you... who else would put up with me?) but this time I changed the text and I used the same text I printed yesterday for the crazy bird on a pickup card. But I think it's still funny :-)
