On February 24 we will celebrate my nephew's name-day. If you are a regular visitor of my blog, you may know that I'm Hungarian and the Hungarians celebrate the name-days, not just the birthdays. So this card is for the 7 years old Mátyás, aka Matyi.
For the background, I ripped out a page from my daughter's old "cahier". She got this reprinted old notebook when she was one of the students of the École Francaise and I'm sure it was that time when she was a fan of the Frozen Disney movie :-)
I glued the school paper onto a 300 gsm watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Collage Medium. When it was dry, I applied a tiny amount of diluted gesso over the entire surface. When it was dry, I repeated this process. I didn't want to overdo the gessoing at first.
Then I applied diluted Mowed Lawn ink (from the reinker bottle) to the surface. And because I found the green too harsh, I toned back with diluted white paint and when it was dry, I spattered the surface with diluted brown and white acrylic paints.
The letters were cut out from chipboard and painted it white, then inked with Watering Can Archival ink.
And every piece of my robot was handpainted with acrylic paints.
What I used:
Gesso
Ranger Distress Collage Medium
Ranger Distress ink (Mawed Lawn, Frayed Burlap)
Ranger Archival ink (Potting Soil, Watering Can)
DecoArt Americana paints
I hope you like it!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!
With my card, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge: Typography
Such a fun card, the robot is so cool. Thank you so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Hugs, Sandra
