Card with coffee blueprint by Tim Holtz

Hello everyone, after a few Christmas themed projects, I'm back to the summer. This one is made for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Bright and Cheerful. 

The green panel was inked with Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough, then I put a layer of Ranger Distress Collage Medium (Matte). When it was dry, embossed it with the On The Go Texture Fades. I inked the edges with Potting Soil Ranger Archival ink. I put 4 long fasteners to the corners.

The iced coffee (from the Fresh Brewed Blueprints stamp set) was stamped with Potting Soil ink and coloured with Ranger Distress markers (Cracked Pistachio, Tea Dye, Hickory Smoke).

The corrugated cardboard was inked with Gathered Twigs.

For the text, I used Sizzix, Alphanumeric Label Thinlits die.

Card - coffee break

Colouring the elements of this card was a relaxing and enjoyable activity. I also loved the process of creating the scene. 

I wanted to make a patisserie where this lovely lady popped in for a coffee.

Your best friends card

Sometimes "you just need your best friends" - I mean your doggy who is lying close to you while you are having a mug of coffee in the morning on the couch. This moment is so peaceful and relaxing, I think dogs (or cats) have a kind of calming effect on us, humans :-)

So here is a card of my two favourite "things".

Onto the background I stamped coffee beans just to make it clear that my mug is a coffee mug and not for tea or hot chocolate :-) For this I used the The Perfect Blend Stamp Set by the Heartfelt Creations, because it's coffee beans look amazing!

If you often visit my blog you know that I'm a huge coffee fan and coffee addict. But if you just found my blog  - dear crafter - from this information you know it too :-)

This is why I couldn't resist to make a coffee-version of Tim's May tag. Yesterday, I have already shown you my May tag where I could put tattered flowers on the tag despite it was a Halloween tag with a huge skull. But here on this tag I just couldn't find reason to put flowers too. 

After spritzing Walnut Stain on the tag it really seemed to me as I spilled out my coffee to my tag :-D

Coffee please - Canvas with two cups of Tim Holtz

For the May Challenge of the Country View Challenges - USE A STENCIL - I created a mixed media canvas in coffee theme. At the beginning of April we had travelled thousands of miles, first from Luxembourg to the eastern part of Hungary by car, then from Budapest to London and back by air, and finally from my hometown to Luxembourg by car. And during our journeys we often stopped to say: Two double espressos, please! and we really thought meanwhile: SOS!

Now I will tell you how this canvas was created.

I took a primed canvas but I still put 2 coats of gesso on the surface. When it was dry, I used a 12x12 inches (Clear Scraps) stencil to make a striped background. 

I smeared the light blue acrylic paint with a sponge onto the surface.

I extended the stripes to the sides.

With a sponge I rubbed white acrylic paint to the edges.

I stamped the coffee sack and the coffee beads from the set of Stampers Anonymous, Fresh Brewed Blueprints by Tim Holtz (CMS232).

With the StazOn cleaner and a wipe I removed the unwanted elements.

With acrylic paint I coloured the sack and the beans.

I smeared some white acrylic paint on the images to fade it.


I cut out the cups from chipboards and gessoed them. I painted with inks. The die is: Sizzix Bigz Die, Tea Time by TimHoltz (660234). The inks are: Ranger Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Mowed Lawn), Ranger Archival Inks (Cobalt, Emerald).


Then I cut out the letters with Sizzix Sizzlits Die, Vintage Market by Tim Holtz (656623) and the number 2 with Sizzix Bigz XL Die, Vintage Market ( 658772).


I used the Kraft Core Nostalgic Collections for the letters. 

I added double sided adhesive tape on the back of the cups to attach them to the canvas.

And now, let me show you my version. As being a coffee addict I chose again one of Tim's coffee stamps, and not because I have just those from Tim :-)

Here is my version of Tim Holtz November tag.

On Tim's original tag there is a pumpkin and a text with 'Autumn'. But I, being a huge coffee fan and consumer, used the coffee stamp.

Tag with coffee by Tim Holtz

There is a challenge at Simons Says Stamp (Coffee or tea?) and because we are huge coffee fans and because I haven't been gone to the holiday yet and because I couldn't resist this challenge... today I have made this tag for my hubby as a bookmark. This is why I didn't put any 3D elements on the tag.

For making this I cut out a tag, covered with book pages, gessoed and painted (just a little bit) with acrylic paint.

After I stamped Tim's stamp on it - both sides. On one side vertically, on the other side horizontally. Slightly sanded the edges.

I colored the stamped images with Ranger Distress markers.

I put a thin layer of medium and after I glued words (kind of affirmation to my hubby) from Tim's Big Chat stickers.
