Thank you card with Minnie Mouse

Yesterday we had our class reunion. We graduated 35 years ago! So I made a thank-you tag for my former classmate who organized the reunion. For this, I chose the Spellbinders Classic Mouse die set and I created a Minnie Mouse.

Tag front:

I cut out a tag with Sizzix Bigz die, Tag&Bookplates (656938) but it was too big, so I cut the bottom a little shorter and I also cut the top a little pointier. I coloured the surface with turquoise paint. When it was dry I splattered with watered brown paint and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Archival ink.

Tag back:

The back of the tag was another piece of paper that I coloured fuchsia with acrylic paint. I spritzed it with watered brown paint and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Archival ink. The numbers are from the Sizzix Thinlits die, Vault Hippity Hop (666562). I cut the letters from gold painted paper. For the stars I used Sizzix Thinlits die, Snowglobe (661603). And I cut the stars out from the same gold paper that I used for the numbers.

Minnie:

I cut the basic pieces from black paper. Her face was cut out from Neenah Solar White paper and coloured with Copic Sketch markers. Behind the head I glued the tongue piece which I coloured with pink Copic Sketch marker (RV32). The skirt was cut out from fuchsia coloured paper. Then I added tiny dots with a white gel pen.

The text was stamped with Black Soot Archival ink and I used an MFT stamp set: Bitty Thanks&Gratitude.

Door tags and bookmark with cats

Hello everyone, after a long, long time I'm here again. I would like to show you my new creations, a bookmark and two door tags that I made for my friend. My friend has a cat that is sometimes kept in a room from which it’s not allowed to leave. And this is a warning to everyone else not to let the cat out. "Vigyázz!" means beware.

I used the MFT- Die Namics Wine Tag die to cut out the tags then I coloured them with Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac. The only difference between the two tags is that I applied Shaded Lilac first on one and Dusty Concord on the other.

Then I stamped the paw pattern to the tags with MFT Paw Print Background stamp. Here you can see this step on the bookmark. For this I used a Ranger Archival ink.

Then I dabbed diluted white paint onto the surface with a sponge and blotted it with a paper towel. For the edges I put some black paint.

The cats are from a Katzelkraft stamp set (Les chats Russes). I stamped them on Neenah Solar White paper with Tsukineko Memento ink and coloured them with Copic Sketch markers.

For the text, I used a Sizzix Thinlits die set, Hippity Hop Vault by Tim Holtz (666562).

The fishbone is part of the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Cats stamp set by Tim Holtz (CMS251).

Since I made these tags for my friend's birthday I also made her a bookmark with the same cat but I added some birthday elements, like the banner and the birthday text. For the banner, I used the Sizzix Thinlits die set, Bunny Games by Tim Holtz (665850). The text is an Idea-Ology piece from s sticker book.

Christmas tag with cardinal by Tim Holtz

About a week ago I have posted my Christmas cards featuring a cardinal by Tim Holtz. After finishing the cards, I decided to make a tag as well, but this time I wanted to colour the bird with acrylic paint instead of ink.

Well, as I said, used paints to colour the bird. I used DecoArt Americana and Distress paints too. The main piece of the bird was painted dark brown and as you can see the rest were painted red, black and yellow. To the tail - which was brown - I added a layer of red.

The tag was cut out with an old Sizzix Bigz die, Tag&Bookplates (656938) from white paper. I started to ink the tag, first I added Lost Shadow. But it wasn't dark enough, so I added Hickory Smoke in many layers and Black Soot around the edges. In the end I splattered with white paints to create a snowy background.

Before I started to build the front side. I glued a black tag to the back side where I stamped and heat embossed a bold Christmas text with silver embossing powder. For this, I used the Stampers Anonymous Bold Tidings 2 stamp set (CMS419).

I cut out the branch with a Sizzix Bigz die, Bird Branch (657833) but I cut off the bird. I painted it medium brown, with dark brown at the edges. I glued it on the tag. I also splattered the branch with white paint.

Then I cut off the excess. And attached the text to the left side. For the text I used the Stampers Anonymous, Tiny Text Christmas (CMS424). I stamped with embossing ink and heat embossed with embossing powder.

Then I added white texture paste to the top of the branches to make snowy branches.

Then I just attached the bird with double-sided foam adhesive to the tag. I tied an organza ribbon with a snowflake charm from the Idea-Ology Snowflakes set.

With my tag, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Use Dies and Wednesday Challenge: Use Dies.

Masculine birthday tag with a gentleman silhouette

Hello everyone, I'm here with a masculine birthday tag that I created for my husband who just turned 52. For this, I used the gentleman of the Sizzix, The Park die set by Tim Holtz (665204).

I cut out a tag shape with Sizzix Bigz die, Tag&Bookplates (656938) from white paper, then I blended Speckled Eggs and Tumbled Glass Distress inks to the surface. I added Frayed Burlap to the edges.

I cut out the gentlemen twice from black paper then I glued them together.

For the balloon, I used white paper and the Sizzix Celebrate Colorize die set by Tim Holtz (666285). I coloured with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress inks.

The numbers were cut out with the Sizzix Alphanumeric Label die (664177) from black paper.

For the stars, I used again the Celebrate Colorize set and gold metallic paper from the Idea-Ology Kraft Paper 8x8" paper pad.

I used the same paper for the dots, but the Sizzix Sidekick Side-Order die, Birthday by Tim Holtz (662703).

The text is part of the My Favorite Things, Essential Sentiments stamp set. I heat embossed with Ranger fine white embossing powder on back paper.

The final touch was adding a gold ribbon to the hole.

Tags with plaid backgrounds

About 10 days ago I posted a tag with a plaid background. And since I really liked that background, I decided to make more. So I made 6 different background with. I really enjoyed mixing the colours and creating my own plaid backgrounds. First I show you the tags then I give you a tutorial.

Well, here is the tutorial.

I cut out the three layers of the Sizzix Layered Plaid die set from different colours. Sometimes I didn't use one of the cut out layers because I didn't find that colour good enough for the other two.  Here you can see the layers before gluing them together.

Then I glued them together.

Then I cut out the tag shape from these background panels. I added white paint to the edges.

I also spritzed them with white paint.

The cookie forms are made the same way like here. But this time I used not just the gingerbread men but more shapes.

For the Fa-la-la-la-la text I used the Holiday Drawings stamp set. I also stamped on the back sides. For those texts, I used the Bold Tidings Mini stamp set.

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, Fresh Baked 1 by Tim Holtz (663100)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Fresh Baked 2 by Tim Holtz (663116)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Layered Plaid by Tim Holtz (666068)

Stampers Anonymous, Bold Tidings Mini (CMS440)

Stampers Anonymous, Holiday Drawings (CMS284)

Ranger Distress ink (Vintage Photo)

Ranger embossing powder (white super fine)

etc.

Tag with Cool Yule deer

Hello everyone, I would like to show you my latest make, a Christmas tag. For this tag, I put together not just the deer but the plaid background paper too.

For the blue plaid paper, I used the Layered Plaid die set, two different shades of blue paper and a black paper. I cut out the three layers then I glued them together one after another.

Then I cut out a tag from this plaid panel with a middle size tag die.

Unfortunately I lost the original scarf die of the deer, so I had to make one using two different dies. One of the pieces was the white trim part of Santa's hat and the other piece was part of Mr. Frost but I cut it shorter.

I also added glittery stars, using glitter paper and the star die of the Cool Yule set.

The text was in the Christmas 2023 Sticker Book.

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, Layered Plaid (666068)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Cool Yule (663099)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Mr. Frost (665581)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Framed Tags (666065)

Idea-Ology, Christmas 2023 Sticker Book

silver glitter paper

etc.

Christmas tag with candle (Candleshop by Tim Holtz)

This time I made a tag with a die set that I bought a long time ago but have never used it. And this set was the Candleshop by Tim Holtz.

The background of the tag was created with a stencil, called Gatherings. I took a watercolour paper and I applied transparent texture paste through the stencil and I sprinkled with gold embossing powder. I let it dry. When the texture paste was dry I used my heating tool and I melted the embossing powder.

And I used this technique, because when I just used embossing ink through the stencil the pattern became blurred. With this technique I got a more crisp image.

Using the biggest die of the Tag Collection die set, I cut out a tag from my embossed panel, then I coloured the whole tag with Uncharted Mariner and the edges with Chipped Sapphire. Later I also added Ground Espresso to the edges.

Using different red paints, I put together one of the candles.

For the greens, I used the Mini Holiday Greens, and painted with green paints.

The tiny text was stamped on a black paper with embossing ink and I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

But this time, I also stamped a big text to the back of the tag.

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, Candleshop by Tim Holtz (666331)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Holiday Greens, Mini by Tim Holtz (661597)

Sizzix Framelits die, Tag Collection by Tim Holtz (658784)

Stampers Anonymous layering stencil, Gatherings by Tim Holtz (TH152)

Stampers Anonymous, Bold Tidings 2 by Tim Holtz (CMS419)

Stampers Anonymous, Tiny Text Christmas by Tim Holtz (CMS424)

Ranger embossing powder (Princess Gold)

Ranger Distress paints

Ranger Distress inks

Ranger Distress texture paste (transparent)
