Wine tag with Cozy Winter bear by Tim Holtz

Here is the last Christmas wine tag I made this year with Cozy Winter bear. I'm sure I will do more wine tags with this cute bear because he looks so good with wine bottle in his hand. 

For making the background, I used an old and retired stamp and die set by Tim Holtz, the Holiday Joy. I stamped the snowflake with embossing ink many times on the tag, then I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Then I filled the gaps with dots and for this I cut out one dot from the Inquisitive stamp set.

When I was ready with the embossing, I blended Tumbled Glass ink onto the surface.

Christmas card with Idea-Ology paper doll family

Hello everyone, I am here with my second project for our December challenge over at the Country View Challenges. The theme is, Christmas - anything goes.

For this card, I used a background that I made last year but I didn't finish it. And because it was a very long time ago when I made it, can't tell you precisely how I made it.

I assume that I used the Sizzix Mini Paper Snowflakes (661559) die set and I glued the snowflakes on a 300gsm watercolour paper. The blue is watered acrylic paint, I guess because I really like to play with diluted paints. I also see some sparkly glitters on the top of the snowflakes which can be glitter glue or Holographic embossing powder. 

So for this background I chose a paper doll family from one of the Idea-Ology Christmas paper dolls set. 

With the Sizzix Impresslits die, Star Trim I made a stand for them. I painted the die-cut with Brushed Pewter Distress paint.

The noel text is part of the Sizzix Sidekick Christmas Side-Order set.

I also added some mini half pearl for some interests.

Christmas card with Mr Snowman

Hello Everyone, I'm here again with a Christmas card! But this time I used Mr Snowman and the Apline die sets by Tim Holtz.

The background was painted with the mixture of the following Distress paints: Broken China, Picket Fence and Bundled Sage. When it was dry, I stamped and heat embossed snowflakes from these stamp sets: Winter Sketchbook (CMS094) and Holiday Drawing (CMS284). The three snowflakes from the latter set were cut apart by me. 

To the bottom part, I added Distress Grit Paste.

The edges of the cart were inked with Vintage Photo Archival ink.

All the cut-outs were hand-painted. For the snowman's scarf, gloves and the text, I used Festive Berries.

Christmas tag with harlequin pattern and snowflake

The final countdown begins. I'm three tags away from fulfilling Linda's challenge at the Funkie Junkie, the 12 tags of Christmas.

I'm sorry but I have time for making the tags but I have no time to write explanations. I have to finish and post 3 tags until December 29.

The harlequin background was made by me with one of Tim's stencil: Harlequin (THS016)

Tag with snowflakes and snowman

This tag is the interpretation of Linda's week #10 tag. But for making it I had some digfficulties. I didn't have the tinsel stencil, I didn't have the BoBunny glitter paste etc... So I decided to mix some glitter glue with 3D transparent gel and tapped it onto the tag.

I smeared grey ink through a snowflake stencil and I added holographic embossing powder and melted it.


My cut-out snowflakes were covered with silver glitter glue.

And for this background I imagined a snowman, so I chose the assembly snowman.


And because Linda first wanted a "let it snow" text I managed to put this on my tag :-)

Oh gosh, I still have to make 3 tags until December 29 :-)

Winter canvas with sleigh and deer by Tim Holtz

Yesterday was a wonderful day, I received a lovely comment and I was informed that I won $50 voucher on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge with my wintry canvas with sleigh and deer by Brenda Walton. Woo hoo!!!

It was a great inspiration to leave my daughter's room where I was nearly lost in the past few days with sorting out her legos :-)

Well, I returned to my craft room and the blogland.

Canvas with sleigh and reindeer by Brenda Walton

Here is a canvas I nearly forgot to finish it off! It was my daughter who found it yesterday and told me it was beautiful and asked me to finish it. Well, I was a good mum and now you can see my wintry canvas with crinkled paper napkins, stamped and stencilled snowflakes, pearls and glitters (and so on, and so on) on the background.

The sleigh and the reindeer are Sizzix Bigz Die by Brenda Walton: the Sleigh Favor Box (658742) and the Reindeer (658738).

The snowflake and the text are Sizzix Thinlits Die by Tim Holtz: Paper Snowflakes (660059) Home For The Holidays (662419). 

The paints and crackle medium are from DecoArt.

Christmas card with large snowflake

Here is my second card that I made for the 12 tags of Christmas (2017) of The Funkie Junkie blog. This card is the interpretation of the week #8. 

You can find Linda's beautiful tag here.

As you can see, I changed some colours, and instead of the vellum, I used a plastic sheet that I embossed with the snowflake pattern embossing folder. I attached that plastic sheet to the corrugated board with two brads.

Winter themed birthday party - Banner

Let me show you the banner what I made for Eszter's birthday party. It was a winter themed birthday party because she is a January girl and this is why it was not the first time when she chose winter colours and snowflakes for her birthday party. 

Unfortunately the light (or the lack of the light) didn't help me to take a proper photo of a nearly 200 centimetres banner.

Winter birthday party - treat boxes

It was Eszter's birthday party this Saturday. For her guests I prepared treat boxes. And since it was a winter themed party I decorated the boxes with snowflakes.

I used the Box Framelits Die I got for the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit. 

With one of the Square Framelits Dies (657565), I cut out the covers for the boxes.

For the covers I used the First Edition Silent Night Papers (8x8) but some of them were stamped with snowflake stamps.

I used two snowflake stamps:

Hero Arts, Snowflakes by Lia Griffith (CL901)


I cut out the big snowflakes on the top with Sizzix Thinlits Die, Mini Paper Snowflakes by Tim Holtz (661599) from silver glitter paper.

I glued rhinestone in the middle of each one.


I could put quite a lot of candies in it: two Mini Smarties, one Mozart Kugeln, two mini Milka Eggs with Oreo flavour, and three Lindt Lindor chocolate balls :-)

And because I couldn't close the lid entirely, it kept popping open, I made a closure on the side. For this I used one small Sizzix Framelits Circle die to cut out circles from the same glitter paper I used for the top snowflakes. 
I fix them to the side of the box with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mini Fasteners. Then I applied silver string to close the lid.


And in the end let me show you the winter birthday cake with snowflakes I have made my 11 years old Eszter.

Christmas card with deer and sleigh

Today is December 5th, tonight Saint Nicholas (Mikulás) will visit the Hungarian kids to put some tiny presents and candies to their shiny boots. Usually the kids put their cleaned and waxed boots on the windowsill to find the Mikulás treats on the following morning.

Mikulás comes in a sleigh pulled by deers (not reindeers). So for the second inspirational piece of our December challenge over at Country View Challenges I have brought you a card with Sizzix - Tim Holtz Prancing Deer (660033) and Sleigh.

I used a heavy duty craft sheet as a basic. Then I covered with a light blue winter patterned paper but before I stencilled snowflakes with pearl shine modelling paste/texture paste. 

I cut out the sleigh and the deer from chipboard and painted with acrylic paints. After drying I smeared some shine on the surfaces.

For the text I used Tim's Thinlits Script Die, Holiday Words (660058).
