Two days ago I posted a card with the same design. So this is another version. As you can see, my card is just grey. I used the different shades of grey, even the wreath is grey, only my bird is colourful.

Card with blue bird and wreath

Here is my card for our February challenge over at the Country View Challenges. The theme was chosen by the lovely Miriam and it's called The first sign of Spring.

For this challenge, I have made a card with a bird and a wreath. 

For this card, the background was already ready, because I made it earlier for a house ornament. This was the roof of my polka dot house and you can find the tutorial here.

The bird is part of the Sizzix Thinlits die, Feathered Friends. I coloured my bird with Distress inks and Oxide inks. 

The wreath is part of the Sizzix Thinlits die, Funky Wreath set. I coloured them with Distress inks.

The tiny flowers on the wreath are part of the Sizzix Thinlits die, Small Tattered Florals. In the middle of the flower I put a drop from Nuvo Drops (Banana Split).

White and gold Christmas card with Jolly St Nick

I have already made many black and white projects, so it was time to try another colour combo. This time I chose the white and the gold and I created a huge Christmas card with Jolly St Nick.

Parallel to the Santa of my Christmas banner, I made another one that I used for this framed scene.

Valentine's Day card with dove and love letter

For making this card, I used the symbols of vintage Valentine's Day postcards: dove, love letter, forget-me-not flower, love text.

And of course, I used Tim Holtz dies and his new 3D embossing folder.

Here is my tutorial.

I took a light blue textured cardstock and with a Sizzix Rectangle die, I cut out the first layer of my card.

I spritzed with water and embossed it with the Botanical embossing folder.

I smeared white acrylic paint onto the surface.

I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress ink, then with white acrylic paint. I also splattered the surface with diluted Frayed Burlap Distress reinker and white acrylic paint.

I drew a circle and started to glue the pieces of the wreath one after another. For the greenery, I used the Mini Holiday Greens and green textured cardstock.

When I was ready with the wreath I cut out 4 flowers using one of the smallest dies of the Small Tattered Florals and for the middle one of the little flowers of Funky Florals 1.

I cut out the dove from 300gsm watercolour paper with Enchanted Doves Bigz die and inked the edges with Frayed Burlap.

For the text, the number and the love letter, I used the Valentine Side Order die set.

Floral wreath with Tattered Florals by Tim Holtz

Hello everybody, it's May 1st so it's time for a new challenge over at Country View Challenges. And this time it was my turn to be the hostess of this month. 

There's an English proverb which says: "April showers bring May flowers" so it's time for the flowers and for the floral creations - Flower Power :-)

As for the first inspirational project, I would like to show you not just one but two floral wreaths. With these wreaths I wanted to show you how easy to cut felts with Sizzix dies.

For making this you need a styrofoam wreath and some sisal cord. 

With hot glue fix the end of the cord to the back of the wreath then wrap your cord tight around the wreath. When you finished cut off the cord and fix it with hot glue to the back.

For the flowers I used two Sizzix dies, a Bigz and a Thinlits set.

For assembling the tattered flowers I used 4 cut-outs and a brad with long fastener.

With a craft tool, a picking tool (or a thick needle) pierce a hole in the middle of the flowers so you can easily add your brad. 

I fixed the flowers and the leaves with hot glue.

Autumn wreath

Hello  dear crafters, 

I continue posting autumn projects, so after my autumn card here is my autumn wreath with felt 3D flowers.

First I covered a styrofoam wreath with rustic string, I think it was jute twine.

After I hot glued the Sizzix Garden Greens (659436) and Tattered Leaves (656927) cutouts. In the end I glued the 3D Flowers (656545).

Pastel floral wreath with felt flowers

Hello All!

Today I would like to show you my floral wreath. 

First I wrapped my wreath with sisal rope/cord and after I glued some felt greens and felt flowers to the wreath with hot glue.

The flowers were cut out with Sizzix Bigz Die, 3D Flowers (656545) and the greens with Sizzix Bigz Die, Garden Greens by Tim Holtz (659436).

With this wreath I would like to join the Monday Challenge - Summer Garden - of the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Sizzix - Mistletoe wreath

You might think that making a mistletoe wreath is a little bit out of time but for me a mistletoe wreath is always timely.

For making this, first I wrapped a styrofoam wreath with a green IKEA ribbon. I used hot glue to attach the ribbon to the wreath.

Then, I cut out with my Sizzix Big Shot the mistletoe branches from Rayher Crepla foam sheets. 

Generally I could cut out 8 branches from one sheet but when I was a little bit more skilled I could cut out 12 pieces :-D

I fixed the branches to the wreath with hot glue.

I added white pearls on the mistletoes because they were supposed to be the mistletoe berries.

Sizzix - fall paper wreath

After the paper banner I made this fall paper wreath too. 

I started to prepare the autumn wreath in the summer when my daughter made her summer wreath. 

I cut out the leaves using the Sizzix Framelits Die Birch Leaves by Rachael Bright. I used this die for my fall banner too. 

I painted the white paper leaves with Tsukineko Memento and Ranger Distress inks.

In the end I put a thin layer of varnish on the top to enhance the colours.
