Sizzix Christmas gift boxes

Hello everyone, like every December, this year I made gift boxes for my daughter's friends and filled them with small chocolates. I used an old and retired Sizzix die (656278) to make the boxes, which I really like because it's easy to assemble the box and I have a quite big box in the end.

I made the three box with three different designs. The papers that I used were again First Edition. I love their earlier designs and the quality of their papers.

Christmas treat boxes with MFT Santas

I made these treat boxes for three lovely ladies who, as leaders of a Hungarian association here in Luxembourg, asked me to hold craft workshops for children. With this small gift I wanted to thank them for thinking of me.

Tiny Christmas treat bag by Tim Holtz

Hello everyone, I'm here with my second project for our November challenge at the Country View Challenges. The theme is Christmas gifting, so I made a tiny treat bag. 

To make this tiny paper bag, I used the Sizzix Thinlits die, Treat Bag and one of the papers from a 8x8" Christmas paper pad (TH94085) by Tim Holtz.

After assembling the bag, I created a little scene to add it to the middle. 

For making this, I cut out a scallop circle with a Sizzix Framelits die, then a circle with another Sizzix die. I used 3 elements from the Tiny Snowglobes die set to make the scene. I have a few process photos.

As you can see I inked the top of the circle with Distress Oxide Broken China ink but I added the ink with a dirty sponge which was used for brown inking before. This way, it looks more vintage :-)

The pieces of the elements were cut out from different coloured cardstocks.

I added the snow with a white Sakura Gelly roll pen.

I punched two tiny holes with a Crop-A-Dile Big Bite to the top of the bag, then I glued the scallop circle to the middle of the bag.

White-gold-silver Christmas treat boxes

Hello dear crafters, let me show you my latest makes, these treat boxes that I made for my daughter's friends as Christmas present. For all the boxes I used the First Edition White Christmas 12x12" paper pad but decorated with Tim Holtz's dies and stamps. And I used a retired Sizzix Bigz XL, Box die (656278).

Let's see the first ones with the layered snowflakes.

I also added gold rhinestone to the middle.

Now here are the boxes with the poinsettias.

For these boxes I used the Sizzix Bigz die, Tattered Poinsettia and Thinlits die Pine Branch by Tim Holtz. I also used the Idea-Ology Metallic Kraft paper pad with the silver and gold colours. And here I added half pearls to the middle of the poinsettias.

And the last boxes with text.

For these boxes I used the Sizzix Thinlits die, Stacked Baroque die and one of the stamps of the Stampers Anonymous Festive Overlay stamp set.

I hope you like it and I hope my daughter's friends will like it too, if not my boxes at least the chocolates inside :-)

Mini treat boxes decorated with Santa

Every year, for Saint Nicolas/St Nicholas (Mikulás in Hungarian) and for Christmas I prepare tiny handmade gifts filled with chocolate for my daughter, Eszter's friends.

And voilà, here are the latest handmade gifts.

For these little boxes, I used the Sizzix Thinlits die, Milk Carton box die (658823) and a beautiful turquoise paper with gold dots that I bought in Thionville (France) in the Culrura shop. 

The Santas are part of the Jingle All The Way (MFT, Birdie Brown) stamp set. I stamped the images with Tsukineko Memento (Rich Cocoa) ink on Neenah Solar White paper and coloured them with Copic Sketch markers. 

The little bells are from the past years Lindt Santa Chocolate.

For taking these pictures, I placed to books behind the boxes so you can see or imagine better the sizes of the boxes.

Little Christmas gifts with Sizzix - Treat Popper by Brenda Walton

Earlier I showed you the little boxes that I made for my daughter to give to her friends for Saint Nicholas Day. Although my daughter is not very talkative nowadays she said briefly that her friends really liked my boxes. And I'm sure about this because she asked me to make treat boxes for Christmas too but not just six but fifteen!

So for this project, I used a retired Sizzix die, Brenda Walton's Treat Popper, papers from the First Editions, tissue paper, Sizzix Scallop Circle die and a Tim Holtz's stamp set, the Holiday Postmarks.

I had to make 5 boyish and 10 girlish gifts. These are for the boys:

Winter birthday party - treat boxes

It was Eszter's birthday party this Saturday. For her guests I prepared treat boxes. And since it was a winter themed party I decorated the boxes with snowflakes.

I used the Box Framelits Die I got for the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit. 

With one of the Square Framelits Dies (657565), I cut out the covers for the boxes.

For the covers I used the First Edition Silent Night Papers (8x8) but some of them were stamped with snowflake stamps.

I used two snowflake stamps:

Stampers Anonymous, Christmas Nostalgia (CMS207) by Tim Holtz)

Hero Arts, Snowflakes by Lia Griffith (CL901)


I cut out the big snowflakes on the top with Sizzix Thinlits Die, Mini Paper Snowflakes by Tim Holtz (661599) from silver glitter paper.

I glued rhinestone in the middle of each one.


I could put quite a lot of candies in it: two Mini Smarties, one Mozart Kugeln, two mini Milka Eggs with Oreo flavour, and three Lindt Lindor chocolate balls :-)

And because I couldn't close the lid entirely, it kept popping open, I made a closure on the side. For this I used one small Sizzix Framelits Circle die to cut out circles from the same glitter paper I used for the top snowflakes. 
I fix them to the side of the box with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mini Fasteners. Then I applied silver string to close the lid.


And in the end let me show you the winter birthday cake with snowflakes I have made my 11 years old Eszter.

Sizzix - treat boxes for birthday party

The last weekend was Eszter's birthday. Like every year they celebrate her birthday at school with her classmates. So this week I have to bring a cake to the class and treat boxes for the kids. 

This time I chose Brenda Walton Treat Popper to make the little presents.

Well, this is why I had bought the Sizzix machine to be able to make 26 mini handmade presents! (If you counted my presents, you can see that here are just 24, because I had to make 2 different with other fillings for the classmates who have allergies.)

As for the tissue paper, I figured out a size I cut out from my big roll. I needed a 13x35 cm piece to work easily with it.

Because the kids prefer a little bit more the quantity than quality, I tried the perfect arrangements for the sweets. For example the mini Milka chocolate bars didn't fit in well.

But two Lindt and two Frey chocolate bars, plus one mini box Smarties were just perfect.

I couldn't put more decorations on the boxes because I have  to place all into a bag on top of each other to take them to the school.

Sizzix - treat boxes for girls' birthday party

This time I would like to show you my latest treat boxes I made my daughter's second birthday party. This year I organised two party, first for the Hungarian friends and after for the French friends.

These boxes are made for the French girls.

For making these boxes I used an "ancient" Sizzix box die (656278) which has been already discontinued. But with this I could prepare quite large boxes with the measure of  12 x 9 x 5,5 cm.

After adhering the pieces of the boxes I started to decorate them. For this I used Paula Pascual Framelits Die (Circle Wrappers - 658613), as well as Stephanie Barnard Framelits Die (Flowers, Daisies - 657916).
