Autumnal tag with leaves

Hello everybody, here we are again with a new challenge over at Country View Challenges because it's already October! Our new challenge theme is Mixed media with autumnal hues and it's my lovely teamie, Rachel is the hostess this month.

So, for this challenge I created an autumn tag:

Now, let me share with you the details...

First of all, I cut out a tag with Sizzix Framelits die, Tag collection by Tim Holtz (658784) from a mixed media paper (Canson XL Mix Media 300g). 

Then I inked it with four Ranger Distress colours: Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Walnut Stain. The Walnut Stain went only to the edges.

The next step was to spritz with water.

I cut out the leaves with Sizzix Bigz Die, Layered Leaf by Tim Holtz then I embossed them and painted with DecoArt Americana acrylic paints: Burgundy Wine, Toffy Cream (I'm sorry I don't remember the colour of the third one as I made it a long time ago.)

When they were dry, I inked the embossed parts and the edges with Ranger Archival Coffee ink. To give them a little shine and protection I put a layer of Schmincke acrylic medium.

I cut out the word October with Sizzix Thinlis die, Calendar Words Blocks by Tim Holtz (661178) from cork sheet (Tim Holtz Textured Surfaces). 

I put 4 tiny brads to the corners - Tim Holtz mini fasteners (TH92790).

I adhered all the elements to the tag, then spritzed with Vintage Photo Spray Stain. 

I inked a piece of crinkle ribbon with the same ink.

And as a final touch I put 2 stickers from Tim Holtz Seasonal Chitchat book.
