Over at PaperArtsy blog there is a new challenge, called Pearlescent. And as I really liked the theme I decided to make a feminine Christmas card with pearls using my earlier design with the Scrapcosy stamps.
First I cut out a card base from a First Edition Christmas paper pad. Next, I stamped small dots onto a cream colour cardstock with the Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card Small Dots background stamp. I sprinkled it with Ranger Silver Pearl embossing powder and melted it.
Then I cut out a square from the dotted cream colour cardstock.
I also used the Ranger Silver Pearl embossing powder for the ornaments and for the text label.
I coloured my ornaments with Ranger Distress inks (Faded Jeans, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet). As you can see, I added some Faded Jeans Distress Oxide to the right-hand side ornament - I think the difference is remarkable.
I used Pumice Stone for the edges.
In the end, I adhered two silver pearls to the corners.
Great project Monika !
