Birthday card with stencilled flowers

Hello everybody and as it's already November let me show you my first project for our new challenge over at Country View Challenges: Stencil it! Our hostess this time is the lovely Gabrielle.

For making this card I used 300 grams watercolour paper. And I started to colour each flowers step by step with Distress markers, then heat embossed with Ranger Clear embossing powder. After colouring a flower I immediately sprinkled it with embossing powder and melted it - this is my special instruction for you :-)

For the flowers I used Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick, for the leaves I used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.

You can see here how the flowers shine because of the clear embossing powder.

I had a heat resist vellum paper, so I could stamp on it (Ranger Archival Jet Black) and I could heat emboss it (Ranger Clear embossing powder).

I inked the edges of the card with Peacock Feathers and I adhered it to a red card.

If you have a project where you used a stencil (or two) please don't forget to join our November challenge at the Country View Challenges blog! A lucky crafter will receive a £20 voucher!
