Name-day card with stars

Hello everyone, it's the first of June so I'm here with the first inspirational project for our June challenge over at the Country View Challenges. The theme is: Seeing stars and the lovely Sue will be your host.

For this challenge, I created a card with stars to give to my daughter who celebrated her name-day on May 24. Her name is Eszter (Esther) and her name means star in Persian.

First I cut out a rectangle panel from 300 gsm watercolour paper and created a background using the Wrinkle Free Technique. For this is put a few drops from Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy and Spun Sugar onto a plastic sheet and spritzed with water.

When it was dry, I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Then I spattered with gold acrylic paint.

I cut out stars from gold glitter paper using the Crescent Moon&Stars Bigz die and the Witchcraft Thinlits die set. For the  letters I used the Deco Bigz XL die.

I inked the edges of the letters with Vintage Photo ink. I added a text from the Clippings Sticker Book to the bottom of the card.

What I used:

Sizzix Bigz die, Crescent Moon&Stars (658716)

Sizzix Bigz XL die, Deco Alphabet (661815)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Witchcraft (662386)

Ranger Distress re-inkers (Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, Spun Sugar)

Ranger Distress ink pad (Vintage Photo)

Schmincke rich gold acrylic paint

Idea-Ology Clippings sticker book

glitter paper

etc.

So if you have a project with stars, please don't hesitate to join our June challenge where a randomly selected winner can have a £20 voucher in the Country View Craft Shop.

With my card, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: It's up in the air
