Vintage Hungarian Christmas cards #132

At first glance you might think that this postcard was made before 1907, as it has a lot of writing on the front side. Postcards before 1907 had no place for the writing on the back, just for the name and address. But no, it was posted in 1939 and there is plenty of room for the text, it's just that the sender had a lot to say.

Another interesting thing is that this card seems to be a German import, where there was no time to print a proper postcard with Hungarian text. So they printed the Hungarian greetings (Kellemes karácsonyi ünnepeket!) over the German text (Fröhliche Weihnachten!)

And how interesting that the angels need sheet music to sing a Christmas song :-)

You can find my other vintage Christmas cards, just click on the label - old Christmas cards - on the sidebar.
