Little girl on the moon

Hello crafty friends and happy July!!! I'm here with the first inspirational project for the July challenge of the Country View Challenges. Our theme was chosen by the lovely Sue: Do more of what makes you happy.

For my first card, I chose Tim Holtz products, his dies, inks, stamp and baseboard doll. Because these are my favourites. I have nearly 400 Tim Holtz related blogposts so I think it's enough proof that these are the things that make me happy.

For making this card, I had an inspirational project, one of my earlier card, a crazy dog on the moon. But later I have seen a quite similar project of the talented Emma Williams. You have to see that too because it's so beautiful (link is here). Her works always inspire me.

To begin, I cut a rectangle panel and I blended all the blue Distress Oxide inks that I have (it means all) onto the surface. I started with the darker colours and continued with the lighter colours. Then I spattered my panel with Brushed Pewter Spray Stain.

For the text, I used the Tiny Text stamp set (CMS394) and Ranger silver embossing powder.

For the stars and moon, I used two Sizzix dies, the Crescent Moon&Stars Bigz die and the Swirling Stars Thinlits die.

Then I used two Idea-Ology pieces. One from the Baseboard Dolls and the other from the Transparent Wings. I coloured both with Distress embossing glazes (Tattered Rose, Fossilized Amber).

So if you have a project with things you love, please don't hesitate to join our July challenge where you can win a £20 voucher. I think this is a real anything goes challenge.
