Hello everyone, I'm here with my first project for our March challenge, Mother's Day. Although for me the Mother's Day is the first Sunday of May. You know, I'm Hungarian. But never mind, I will save the card, and give it to my mum (anyukám) later.
For this card, I had an inspiration, one of my earlier cards, a birthday card. There I made the striped background with Faded Jeans Oxide ink but here I used the Stormy Sky.
Then I stamped script text on the surface randomly with Shadow Grey Archival ink.
I washed the whole surface with diluted Antique Linen ink. With this I blurred a little bit the stripes but doesn't matter, I think it just look cooler.
Then I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink and spattered with diluted Vintage Photo ink.
As for the flowers... I cut out all the pieces from 300 gsm watercolour paper and I assembled them. And then I started to colour them with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress inks.
Then I added some brown to the middle and the edges.
The leaves are coloured with Rustic Wilderness, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. But since I found the colour of both the flowers and the leaves too strong, I spritzed with water and soaked up the moisture and some ink with a piece of paper towel.
What I used:
Sizzix Thinlits die, Colorize Bloom (665208)
Sizzix Thinlits die, Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower (664407)
Stampers Anonymous, Reflections stamp set (CMS111)
Stampers Anonymous, Shifter Stripes stencil (THS108)
Ranger Distress Oxide ink (Stormy Sky)
Ranger Distress ink (Vintage Photo, Rustic Wilderness, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade)
Ranger Archival ink (Shadow Grey)
half pearls
etc.
So if you have a Mother's Day project, please don't hesitate to join our challenge where a randomly selected winner can have a £20 voucher in the Country View Craft Shop.
With my card, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Use at least one stencil
