Hello everyone, here is my second inspirational project for our March challenge over at the Country View Challenges where the theme is Mother's Day. As with my first creation, I made a floral card with a striped background. But here I chose the text "thank you" because I think we have a lot to thank our mothers for.
And here is my tutorial.
I cut out a large rectangle panel from 300 gsm watercolour paper. Then I started to blend Faded Jeans Archival ink to the surface through stencil but I changed my mind and used Faded Jeans paint instead.
I cut out the flowers from 300 gsm paper and started to colour them with Distress paints.
I used Kitsch Flamingo for the first layer.
And Spun Sugar for the second layer.
I coloured the leaves with Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness.
Then I added to all the edges Potting Soil, even to the card.
Then I stamped randomly onto the surface of the rectangle panel with The Professor 2 stamps using Hickory Smoke Archival ink.
Then I toned back with diluted white paint.
Ranger Distress paint (Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Rustic Wilderness, Bundled Sage, Faded Jeans)
etc.
So if you have a Mother's Day project, please don't hesitate to join our challenge where a randomly selected winner can have a £20 voucher in the Country View Craft Shop.
With my card, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Feminine
This is absolutely gorgeous Monika, I love how it looks when you have knocked it back with the white paint, with the faint text just showing through. Take care and have a lovely week, Sue xx
