Painted wooden box with Tim Holtz Crazy Birds

Let me show you the last piece of those boxes I have made as Christmas presents for my friends. But on the lid of this box I didn't glued paper napkins, instead, I stamped the motives. And for the stamping I used Tim Holtz crazy birds.

By the way, I have to tell you that my friend likes the birds and the purple colour.

Now here are the photos of the making :-)

First, I arranged the birds on the plain box. With this composition every bird is watching another bird.

I painted the lid white and after I started to stamp with StazOn Timber Brown. If you stamp on wood don't put your cling stamp on acrylic block.

The box with three stamped birds.

And I started to colour the birds with acrylic paints.

Meanwhile I realized that something is missing from the composition and I stamped the butterfly duo of Tim. With these butterflies every bird looks at someone else.

I smeared DecoArt Patina to the edges of the lid.

I painted Marabou Lilac colour on the bottom. At the end I smeared with a sponge white acrylic paint onto the dried lilac paint.
