Card with tulips by Stampendous

I'm learning how to colour with coloured pencils. This is not my first try but I'm still not experienced enough. Never mind! I enjoyed every minute of the colouring.

What I used:

Stampendous stamp, Dutch Tulips

Faber-Castell, Polychromos pencils

Crafter's Companion Neenah Desert Storm paper

Sizzix Thinlits Die, Handwritten Celebrate

Ranger Distress, Vintage Photo Spray Stain

For the petals, I used the following Polychromos pencils: White, Light Flesh, Rose Carmine, Alizarin Crimson, Dark Red, Burnt Umber

Here are my step by step photos:

Wooden box with tulips by Stampendous

For this wooden box, I chose the Dutch Tulips stamp set from the Stampendous.

I painted the top with DecoArt Americana White Wash. When it was dry I sanded, then I put another layer white paint.

I stamped the tulips with Ranger Distress Antique Linen. I like to use Distress ink for my boxes because if the stamping is not successful, it's blurry for example, I can wipe it off easily.

So after stamping I heat embossed with Ranger embossing powder (white).

For colouring the tulips, I also used acrylic paints.

In the end, I put a layer of varnish (silky shine) too.
