Christmas card with penguins by Stacey Yacula

Let me show you my latest card, a Christmas card with the Sweet Holiday Penguins by MFT. They are so cute and so beautifully drawn.

I stamped the images with Ranger Archival ink (Jet Black) and coloured them with Ranger Distress markers using watercolour technique. For the snowflakes, I used white acrylic paint and a fine detail paint brush.

I hope you like it!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!

Winter birthday party - happy birthday banner in French

Hallelujah! I've finished the Happy Birthday sign. Since Eszter invited her French friends and classmates this year, I had to prepare it in French.

For making this I had to cut out 22 circles which was not a big deal with the Sizzix machine, but I had to separate the adhesive part from the not adhesive part of 154 snowflakes and it was a real challenge for me!

The tutorial of the "Joyeux Anniversaire" banner is the same as the name banner's. So you can click for that here.

However I still show you some pictures of the process.

Winter birthday party - name garland with penguins

Fête d'anniversaire en hiver - bannière de nom

The second decoration of my daughter's birthday is this name sign. The design is the same as the invitation cards': light blue background with snowflakes and penguins.

I cut out eight circles with Sizzix scallop framelit die.

I used snowflake punch and self adhesive label sheet to put snowflakes on the discs.

After I glued letters in the middle of the circles (the tutorial of the letters is here) I punched two holes with Crop-A-Dile.

I pulled a raffia through the holes to complete the name banner.

Winter birthday party - invitation card

Fête d'anniversaire en hiver - carte d'invitation

My daughter is going to have a birthday soon. She has already had pink polka dot and green polka dot birthday party themes before. So I was told she would like to have a blue polka dot party this year. But in this case I had to say no. I like dots but it would have been too much for me.

Since her birthday party will be in January I wanted to create a winter theme party. So I kept Eszter's wish, the blue colour but I changed dots for snowflakes.

First of all I had to make the invitation cards.

For this I used a Sizzix penguin die and stamp.

I cut out the snowflakes from a self adhesive label sheet.

I used clear letter stamps to fill the inside of the invitation cards.

And here are the invitation cards with the cutest penguins ever.
