Hello everyone and happy new year! And since it's not just new year but the first day of January a new challenge begins on the Country View Challenges blog. Your hostess will be the lovely Jo and the theme is A Year To Sparkle.
For this challenge I made a birthday card for my sister's birthday who turns 45 on 11 January. To meet the expectations of the challenge, I used the Sparkle background stamp by Tim Holtz and glitter paper for the number.
And here is the tutorial.
I took a piece of watercolour paper (300gsm) and stamped on the Sparkle background with embossing ink. Then I heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
I cut around the pattern and then I inked the whole surface with Tumbled Glass ink.
The bird was hand painted with Distress paints but the eye was made with white gel marker.
What I used:
Sizzix Thinlits die, Cozy Winter by Tim Holtz (665574)
Sizzix Bigz XL die, Deco by Tim Holtz (661815)

With my card, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Party!
