Birthday card with Cozy Winter bear by Tim Holtz

Hello everyone and happy new year! And since it's not just new year but the first day of January a new challenge begins on the Country View Challenges blog. Your hostess will be the lovely Jo and the theme is A Year To Sparkle

For this challenge I made a birthday card for my sister's birthday who turns 45 on 11 January. To meet the expectations of the challenge, I used the Sparkle background stamp by Tim Holtz and glitter paper for the number.

And here is the tutorial.

I took a piece of watercolour paper (300gsm) and stamped on the Sparkle background with embossing ink. Then I heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

I cut around the pattern and then I inked the whole surface with Tumbled Glass ink.

I inked the edges with Pumice Stone, later I added Frayed Burlap too. I also inked the edges of the bear with Frayed Burlap ink.

The number was cut out from glitter paper with Deco Bigz XL die but I inked the edges of the number with an alcohol marker (Copic Sketch Fig).

The bird was hand painted with Distress paints but the eye was made with white gel marker.

The text was stamped on black cardstock, using first an antistatic pouch, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

What I used:

Sizzix Thinlits die, Cozy Winter by Tim Holtz (665574)

Sizzix Bigz XL die, Deco by Tim Holtz (661815)

Sizzix Movers&Shapers die, Mini Cardinal&Poinsettia (658266)

Sizzix Thinlits die, Regions Beyond by Tim Holtz (664207)

Stampers Anonymous, Sparkles&Christmas by Tim Holtz (CMS324)

Stampers Anonymous, Crazy Talk by Tim Holtz (CMS236)

Ranger Distress paints (Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Ground Espresso)

Ranger embossing powders (silver, super fine white)

etc.

CAS birthday card with polar bear

Hello everyone, here is a CAS card that I made for my dear sister whose birthday is in January. I can't be with her since we live 1400kms away from each other. But at least I can send her a handmade card.

For this card, I used one of the images of the MFT, Birdie Brown, Christmas Selfies stamp set. I stamped the polar bear with Cement Gray Hybrid ink and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.

With this card, I would like to join the MFT Birthday Project Challenge: Clean and simple cards

I hope you like it!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!
