Box card with You're Super stamp by MFT

Hello everyone, I've just finished my box card I made for my sister's name-day. You know, I'm Hungarian and we have not just birthdays but name-days too. Her name is Hédi, she is a superwoman (of course, like every mother and working woman) and she has two sons (a blond and a brown) and a brown dog and a grey cat.

The images were coloured with Copic Sketch markers. The box, the stars and the New York skyline were cut out from black heavy weight cardstock. The smaller rectangle die-cuts of the box were coloured with Speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks and I added Broken China to the edges.

Name banners for boys

This is a quick post to show you the name banners I have made for my lovely nephews. I promised them during the summer when we were in Hungary to make banners above their desks. 

On the banner you can see the abbreviations of their names (Zsigmond-Zsigi, Mátyás-Matyi). I know, it's greek to you - hahaha!

Round wooden box with Super Boy of MFT

I have two lovely nephews who has seen my Super Boy greeting cards the last weekend. Both of them fancied that in the picture the Super Hero is just himself.

I was so thrilled to see my nephews' enthusiasm that I decided to make boxes for them with this character of the My Favorite Things.

So first, I would like to show you the box of Mátyás (Mathias), the blond handsome Little Prince.

And here is the box of the older handsome, Zsigmond (Sigismond).

In addition a photo of the two lovely boys and my daughter, Eszter from 2013.

Three drawers wooden box with cars

I have two nephews and as usual, if you give something to one of them, it's better if you give to the other as well, otherwise...

Well, a few months ago I had made a three drawers box with owls for the 7 years old, but I couldn't finish the other box in time, so I couldn't ship the present for the 4 years old. Since then, every time we talked on Skype he asked me about his box. He kept nagging me with his questions: "Have you finished my box? " "When will you do my box?"

So now, I'm happily announce it that I'm ready with the box :-)

Birthday Card with Tim Holtz Toy Soldier and Packages

I have three little boys in Hungary who are very close to me and who have their birthday at the beginning of November. My two nephews, Zsiga and Matyi and their neighbour, Adam who is my daughter's gallant when we are on summer vacation in Hungary :-)

I have made these cards for them.

This time I don't give you detailed tutorial but I show you how the watercolour pencil works.  (I'm sorry there was not too much light...)

I used Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer deep red pencil.

Three drawers wooden box with owls for boys

This is my second project for the September challenge - NUMBERS - of Country View Challenges. You can also enter with your own number projects and if you are lucky enough you can have a £20 voucher.


This shabby chic wooden box has an older sister in pink I had made for my daughter. But this box was made for one of my nephews and I'm sure I have to make another one for my other nephew as well - avoiding the quarrels between the boys :-)

The basic is a wooden box that I painted white first, after I sanded a little bit, then I put on a very-very light blue layer.

I sanded the edges.

I cut out the owls from a paper napkin and I glued with decoupage glue on the surfaces.

I used Sizzix Sizzlits Wanted Alphabet Die by Tim Holtz to cut out the numbers from a plain brown paper napkin. Generally you have to use one layer of the napkin to glue but now I glued two layers of napkins to achieve darker colour numbers.

In the end I painted Ranger Distress Crackle Paint (Clear Rock Candy).

Sizzix - Birthday banners for boys

At the Country View Challenge the challenge theme of September is: Numbers. 

Since I always like to create something useful I decided to make birthday banners for my nephews who will celebrate their birthday in November. Zsiga will be 7 on 5  November and Matyi will be 4 on 11 November hence I put their birth years and ages to the banners.

I used the Sizzix new Bigz L Banner to make these birthday decorations.

I cut out two shapes from blue cardstocks and four from green cardstocks.

Then, I cut out 0,5 cm with scissors from each sides of the green banners.

With a Sizzix - Stampin' Up embossing folder I embossed the green banners. I had to make it in two steps because the embossing folder was smaller than the banner.

I coloured every edges of my cutouts using a Ranger Distress Ink Pad (Frayed Burlap) and a piece of sponge.

I glued the green parts to the blue banners.

I cut out a star and an owl using Sizzix Framelits Die, Stars and Sizzix Bigz Die, Owl by Dena Designs.

I cut the numbers and the letters with Sizzix Sizzlits Die, Boardwalk by Tim Holtz.

I made two holes of each banners with We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Big Bite.

Then I put eyelets to the holes.
