Vintage Christmas stars with sheet music

At the Country View Challenges we have a challenge theme STARS and although it's not my turn to show you something starry nevertheless I would like to show you my latest creations, these vintage style Christmas star ornaments.

A few years ago I had bought some white paper stars from the IKEA which stayed in my drawer until now. I have found only 7, I think I might have used one of them earlier.

I realised that one of my Sizzix dies has the exact same size and form as the IKEA stars. This die is the Sizzix Framelits Die, Stars.

So I cut out 14 pieces of star shape from sheet music and with decoupage glue (Ranger Glue N Seal) I adhered the sheet music stars to the IKEA stars. I covered with sheet music both sides.

Then I sanded the edges, after I inked with Ranger Distress Ink (Vintage Photo).

I cut out the vintage Santa images from Tim Holtz Seasonal Paper Stash (6x6). For this I used an oval shape die from Sizzix but I drew the outline with hands because I wanted the outer line, not the inner line where usually the Sizzix dies cut.

I inked the edges of the images with Walnut Stain.

Again I used the Glue N Seal to add the little oval images to the middle of the stars. When I glued the images I smeared the Vintage Photo with the brush but it became more perfect, more vintage. So I was satisfied with the result.

I put one layer of DecoArt Crackle Glaze on the stars, the whole surface. When one side was totally dry, then I made the same with the other side.

When my stars were absolutely dry, I drew lines with Silver Glitter Glue around the images, then to the edges of the stars.

So you can see in the pictures that not just the Glitter Glue but the Crackle Glaze shines perfectly. With this my stars became very festive, I think. The organza ribbon is just an extra for this vintage glamour (LOL).

With my stars I would like to join the following challenges:
