Hello All, thank you for visiting me and watching my second piece of the November challenge of the Country View Challenges. The theme was chosen by the lovely Rachel and it's called: STARS.
So I have made a card with golden stars.
Here is my step by step tutorial for you.
1. Take a white rectangle paper one size smaller than the actual card.
2. Take the Tim Holtz Stars Layering Stencil (THS008), the Versamark Embossing Marker and the Ranger Embossing Powder (Princess Gold) and randomly make stars on your card.
Fill the stars with this sticky marker one at a time, mixing the smaller and the bigger and heat them.
3. Use three Ranger Distress inks (Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire) and with a sponge colour the card.
4. Ink the edges with Ranger Distress, Walnut Stain.
5. Cut out a bigger and a one size smaller star with the Sizzix Framleits Die, Stars (657557) from a dark blue cardstock.
6. Ink the smaller star with any Ranger Distress Ink or Embossing Ink (I used Chipped Sapphire) using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil, Flourish (THS032). Sprinkle it with Ranger Embossing Powder, Princess Gold and then remove the excess.
7. Melt the embossing powder.
8. Ink the edges of the stars with Walnut Stain.
9. Position the smaller size to the middle of the big star and glue them together.
10. Add the stars to the card with 3D foam adhesive.
11. Cut out the word TWINKLE with the Sizzix Thinlits Die, Holiday Words by Tim Holtz (660058).
Now I have to tell you here that when I want to glue a word, I always use my Xyron 5" machine. With the Xyron I premake cardstocks with adhesive back in different colours. So this time I just took a dark blue sheet with adhesive back and I simply cut out the word TWINKLE. I peeled off the plastic protection from the die-cut and glued to the exact place without any mess.
