Oval wooden box with Easter bunny

When this morning I was reading the new challenge of A Vintage Journey I felt quite lucky because the theme was: THE MAGIC 3. And imagine, I've just finished exactly three Easter boxes yesterday!

I used the design of one of my Easter cards which was made with the rabbit of the Artistic Stamper. I just love this rabbit! This is one of my favourite rabbit stamps, unless it's not my number one!

The poplar boxes were painted brown. Then I added a layer of DecoArt Americana Decor Crackle Medium to the outside of the bottom. After drying I painted a coat with DecoArt Americana paint. Each box has a different colour:  Winter Blue, Pebble, Williamsburg Blue.

After the brown coat, the top was painted white with White Wash. I stamped the rabbit to the middle with Potting Soil  ink (Ranger Archival) then heat embossed with clear embossing powder (Ranger). I masked the rabbits, then stamped the PaperArtsy flowers with Coffee ink (Ranger Archival).

I coloured all the elements with DecoArt Americana paints.

I sanded the edges, then inked with Potting Soil.

And now the photos of each of my boxes.

With one of my boxes - with the pebble coloured bottom - I also would like to enter the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge: What's your superpower? because making stamped (and decoupage) boxes is my superpower :-)

And the Creative Artiste Challenge: Anything mixed media goes
