Wooden fruit box for Christmas

Here is the Christmas version of my fall kitchen container. For making this box I used only the Stampers Anonymous, Tattered Christmas stamp set by Tim Holtz.

I bought this box in the Lidl filled with orange. And since I didn't want to throw it away, I altered it for Christmas. It comes in handy in the kitchen to store fruits and/or vegetables in it.

I painted the box white with several coats. Then I stamped the images with Distress ink (in any colour) and then I heat embossed them with Ranger fine black embossing powder. I like the Distress inks to stamp on my wood projects because if I mess it up, I just wipe it off, then I repeat the process.

Here are some photos of the process:

And here is the finished box:

I coloured the images with diluted acrylic paints. For this, you need highly pigmented paints.

Then I spattered the box with watered dark brown paint and sealed with my special varnish which contains brown Distress ink drops.

With my box, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Recycle

I hope you like it!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!
