It's already June and we have a new challenge at the Country View Challenges blog: HEARTS. Our hostess is the lovely Hazel.
During making this card I had to realise (again) two things about me. 1. I don't like too much layers and dimensions on my cards because I don't find them practical to send a card. 2. I love symmetry - at this card I tired to break the symmetry but I couldn't :-D
What I used:
Sizzix Framelits die, Hearts
Sizzix Thinlits die, Alphanumeric 3/4" by Tim Holtz
Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Adornments, Regal (TH92903)
Tim Holtz Layering Stencil, Hearts (THS017) - I used for the littl
Ranger Texture Paste, Opaque Matte - I created the hearts on my big heart
Ranger Distress Crayons (Festive Berries, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry) - I coloured the heart with them
Ranger Distress Crayons (Walnut Stain) - I coloured the edges of the XOXO word
DecoArt Crackle Glaze - I covered the red star with this
Ranger Distress ink pad (VintagePhoto) - I smeared this into the crackles of the heart and inked the edges of the card
Ranger embossing powder, Gold and Liquid Platinum - I used them for the edges of the card and for the word XOXO
Ranger Distress Spray Stain (Walnut Stain) - I spayed the card with this
Ranger Crackle Accents - I put this on the word XOXO, under the Liquid Platinum (I achieved a really interesting effect)
If you made any project with heart, please don't hesitate to join our June challenge at the Country View Challenges blog where you can win a £20 voucher!
With my card I would like to join the challenge of A Vintage Journey: Use a quote.
