Starry night with angel

I think this is one of the most beautiful angel dies. It's said the angels are huge and mainly male figures or maybe genderless and for me, this angel figure embodies all these criteria.

So this is my card for the December challenge of the Country View Challenges where the theme is: Stars

I imagined a winter night when the angel heralds that the little Jesus was born! And since in Hungary it is not Santa Claus who brings the present but the little Jesus with the help of the angels this card will be perfect for my Hungarian relatives.

First I cut out a rectangle panel with a Sizzix Framelits die, then cut out the stars using the Sizzix Thinlits die, Swirling Stars by Tim Holtz.

After I created the night winter scene where the snow is grey because it's night. I used indigo blue acrylic paint to make the night sky, then I added a lighter colour around the stars. When it was dry, I spattered the sky with diluted silver paint.

I put a silver glitter paper behind the main panel.

The angel was cut out twice with Sizzix Bigz Die, Angelic by Tim Holtz from a glitter paper and a black cardstock.

The edges of the silver angel and the card were inked with Black Soot Archival ink.

Then I added a text from the Occasion Chit Chat sticker book.

If you have a project with stars, please don't hesitate to join our challenge where you can win a £20 voucher!
