This month it was Corrie's turn to choose a theme for the Country View Challenges blog, and I was very happy that her choice was very seasonal: ALL THINGS SPOOKY. So I made a Halloween card.
For this card I cut out a basic card from black cardstock with rectangle shape die.
I cut out a one size smaller card from white cardstock and I coloured them with the following Ranger Distress Inks: Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet, Aged Mahogany, Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold, Black Soot.
Then I stamped a cobweb with Tim Holtz new cobweb stamp: Stampers Anonymous Stamp Set, Webs&Damask (CMS276) with a Ranger Distress ink - any colours, doesn't matter which one because you will cover it embossing powder. So after I put Ranger Embossing Powder (Silver Pearl) on it and melted with my heating tool.
I cut out the bottles with Sizzix Bigz Die, Apothecary Bottles (658715) and Sizzix Movers&Shapers Die, Apothecary Bottles by Tim Holtz (658722) and coloured them with Ranger Distress inks.
I covered the bottles with DecoArt Clear Crackle Glaze and when it was dry I smeared some Walnut Stain ink into the crackles.
From this angle you can see better my crackles:
I used the Stampers Anonymous Undertaker Stamp Set to stamp the spider and to make the labels of my bottles. Actually I used some Crafty Individuals stamps too (Poison and Danger) for the labels.
I stamped the spider with Ranger Distress ink (Black Soot) then melted Ranger Distress Embossing Powder (Black Soot) but as the spider didn't rise enough from the surface I put some extra glitter liner on and after drying a little black marker colouring to reduce the sparkle of the glitter liner.
The text was made with the Crazy Talk Stamp Set (CMS236) and cut out with Die Namics Die.
